How to Play

OUr story

The Australian colloquial language is colourful and unique, and it needs to be kept alive within the Australian culture. It emerged from the Australian experiences, as substitutions for words, as metaphors, rhyming slang or as an informal speaking language. With so many other cultural influences seeping into our language, it is important to hold firm to what we have. So, we designed this board game for Aussies to play with their intergenerational families, friends or guests – it may be a real cultural awakening for some! We especially suggest this game to be played with overseas visitors, welcome arrivals to Australia, or younger people who may not be familiar with some of the terms that have been used for many years.

The original Aussie Slang deserves a permanent place in the hearts of all Australians.
